Sarah and Will had a beautiful and intimate elopement at Holualoa Inn.
They knew right off the bat they didn’t want to have a big wedding. Because will spent part of his childhood in Hawaii and their mutual love for the islands, this small island chain seemed like the obvious choice for their elopement.
They fell in love with the charm of Holualoa Inn.
Set just a few miles up the mountain from downtown Kona, Holualoa Inn offers the convenience of being close to town and amenities while also feeling secluded.
It’s an easy walk to local shops, boutiques, and art galleries in the town of Holualoa. Enter into Holualoa Inn from Mamaloahoa Hwy, and you feel like you’re entering into an oasis. The grounds are pristine and thoughtfully designed, and the views will literally take your breath away. Leave your shoes at the entrance (as is the custom in Hawaii), and walk barefoot through the stunning open-air lobby to venture out to the pool that offers a 180-degree view of the Pacific Ocean.
Holualoa Inn has several ceremony locations to choose from for your intimate elopement. You can tie the knot with a lush and mature Jade plant as your backdrop, or in a small and intimate garden, or take advantage of the views and space on the great lawn!
The events team at Holualoa Inn is great to work with and will help you in planning an unforgettable elopement! With their various packages and add on’s to choose from, they have something for everyone!
Because it can often be a challenge trying to plan a destination wedding in Hawaii from afar, it’s a comfort to know you have a wedding coordinator who will help you along throughout the entire process!
Holualoa is an adorable town set just a couple of miles up the hill from downtown Kona.
The farther up the hill you drive from town, the lusher the scenery gets. By the time you get to Holualoa, you feel like you’re driving through a rainforest. It’s lush and beautiful.
Holualoa has its monthly, “First Friday Art Walk.”
The street blows up with local vendors, live music, and tons of good food!
Holualoa Inn offers a luxurious and private suite located up the hill from the main hotel, for those looking for something even more secluded.
The Red Barn is a large studio suite that includes a full living room, kitchen, and lanai for enjoying your morning coffee. It’s a great space for bridal parties to get ready on the day of the wedding or for couples.
Will and Sarah booked a private chef to prepare dinner for them in the comfort of their suite.
In doing so, they had the ease of being greeted with a beautiful table set up, freshly made appetizers, and glasses of champagne after their ceremony. They even had a small wedding cake prepared for them!
Because Will and Sarah hired a private chef, they could celebrate and enjoy a lovely meal prepared just for them in the privacy of their own room. In the end, it really made the day that much more special for them.
